Access via the 'Maringote' horse-drawn carriage: « la Maringote »

The Maringotes, horse-drawn carriages are interrupted during the low season; during winter the horses are resting anyway.  

The Maringotes service will be available again 
- during the Christmas holidays from Saturday 19th December 2015 to Sunday 3th January 2016, and
- from Saturday 2nd April 2016 for all the 2016 season. 

For a group, it’s possible to have "a la carte services”, with a private horse-drawn carriages (according to the availability). To organize it, you can contact us about 10 days before the date or make a request by completing the form on our web site or by telephone on the +33 (0)2-14-13-20-15, or directly with the hostesses of the Information center (Cit).

Opt for an original method of transport: the 'Maringote'*. Departure from the shuttle hub, right near the parking area.

This horse-drawn carriage is the perfect way to discover Mont-Saint-Michel in the same way as pilgrims did in the olden days...Lulled by the gentle clip-clop of hooves, enjoy the ride and indulge in the majestic views of Mont-Saint-Michel.


For the trips there and back, our 'Maringote' uses the new access pathway to Mont-Saint-Michel. One way takes about 25 minutes.

Please ask at the Tourist Information Centre when you arrive to find out about times, and for any other information you may require.

Our 'Maringote' can carry up to 24 people, and can be privatised for your special events (birthday, wedding, special occasion, etc. for 158 euros inc-tax** per single trip).

*Except in extreme peak periods and/or poor weather conditions. The 'Maringote' may exceptionally not run.
