Opt for an original method of transport: the 'Maringote'*. Departure from the shuttle hub, right near the parking area.
This horse-drawn carriage is the perfect way to discover Mont-Saint-Michel in the same way as pilgrims did in the olden days...Lulled by the gentle clip-clop of hooves, enjoy the ride and indulge in the majestic views of Mont-Saint-Michel.
Caution ! Please note, animals are not allowed in the shuttles, with the exception of guide dogs, assistance animals for people with special needs and small dogs who are permitted on the shuttles provided that they are carried in an approved animal containers, that is suitable for cats and small dogs.
Also note that pets are not allowed in the abbey, national monument, at the top of the village.
You can also walk to Mont-Saint-Michel, along the causeway and the bridge, and walk through the village streets. Your animals must be kept on a lead. If you needed, a kennel service is offered. Please contact the Tourist Information Center for more information.
